Be Intentional — and SPECIFIC– with Your Goals

My favorite thing about this time of year is seeing all of the goals being put out into the universe.
Well intentioned commitments to move lives forward and reach new success.
Every day I teach my clients to be intentional with their spending, intentionally profitable and curate detailed plans for them to reach their goals. And when they implement the plan, it works.
I, of course, do the same for myself.
Each year I write out my personal and professional goals and every day I re-write them and put all of my focus on meeting and exceeding them.
In January 2019, I set a goal to “speak on stage”. I dreamed of teaching others how to set the profitable foundation in their business that I knew had proven success with my 1:1 clients.
This was the one thing I thought could change the trajectory of my growing practice and add to my newly founded academy.
However, I learned a very important lesson during the goal setting process that year.
The lesson, friends. is goals and dreams need to be VERY specific, leaving no margin for error — every time.
Because if you aren’t specific, life will take your dream of speaking to an auditorium of entrepreneurs and cast you in A Christmas Story the Musical, put you in a prairie costume, compete with bonnet, dancing around a stage wearing a lamp shade with dozens of new friends, a million laughs and just about the best time you never knew you could have.
What are your goals for 2021? Will you be specific or will you be in for quite the surprise like I was?
